Vases
The vase series emerged in collaboration with florists at the Oeschberg Horticultural School, combining wheel-throwing with hand-building. Drawing inspiration from Central African ceramic traditions alongside wheel exploration, a family of sculptural vases took shape.
The vases were created during the second semester of the ceramic design vocational class and exhibited in summer 2024 at the Oeschberg Horticultural School.
Each vase is assembled from two or more parts, combining hand-built components with wheel-thrown sections. At the leather-hard stage, necks were trimmed with carving tools.
