The craft market is a convivial and cozy little market in the heart of the city of Bern. A perfect Saturday plan to buy a gift for yourself or someone else.

A diverse and large ceramics market in the center of Basel. Many different ceramicists are on site and there is a vibrant bustle. A wonderful market that showcases everything that is possible with clay.

The exhibition format “Werkbankett” unites culinary arts and fine craftsmanship. Numerous synergies are harnessed to encourage and connect collaborations with local businesses and self-organized initiatives. The new exhibition format was developed in November 2024 by Till Herion and Renato Antonietti and was successfully realized for the first time in May 2025 at the “Alte Schreinerei” in Bern. Buoyed by this momentum, the second “Werkbankett” took place on February 1, 2026 at Restaurant “Löscher”.

A dedication to smoking culture. Till Herion places smoking at the center, but please «SMOKE BEAUTIFULLY». It is an exploration of ceramic form embodied in distinct ashtrays. With a wide variety of shapes and playful ideas, Till Herion creates diverse variations of ashtrays exhibited at «Zum Goldenen Kamm».

The lamp convinces through a clear design language and a distinctly artisanal design approach. With harmonious proportions, pleasant light, and a successful combination of materials, it immediately draws attention. The precise and confident handling of various techniques lends the object a special artistic quality. A carefully crafted piece with a strong visual presence.

As part of the second-semester project of the ceramic design vocational class, a collaboration with the Oeschberg Horticultural School developed. In the exhibition, the produced vases were presented alongside floral arrangements specially crafted by florists. During the collaboration, a valuable exchange took place between both professional disciplines. The creation of the vases took into consideration various types of floral bouquets.

Six young artists present current works. A meeting space for dialogue between object, viewer, and creator. Nedia Boutouchent studies camera arts in Lucerne and speaks in clay and image about the past, future, forgotten, and never occurred. May Freigang is an apprentice ceramicist presenting alienated tool sculptures made of clay, metal, and wood. Till Herion presents translucent lighting objects made of porcelain. Renato Antonietti presents his experiments with angular mood lamps. Joris Schafer presents his works with diverse materials and room for interpretation.

A world full of ideas. The exhibition at 9a features a curated selection of works created on the premises of the Lucerne School of Design & Art. The objects and works express an exploration of forms, colors, and compositions arising from investigating the space between object and functionality.
