SPIN
The “SPIN” series originated from woodturning form prototypes. These are unique pieces produced for the 2024 exhibition. Through an experimental approach to woodturning, Till Herion produced diverse geometric silhouettes, translating one into a ceramic lampshade.
The “SPIN” lamp was presented at the “Werkschau” exhibition at Egelsee in Bern.
The shades were slip cast and fired unglazed. The wooden counter-elements were turned and spray-finished, supported by metal armatures. A custom acrylic glass system connects the two shades. “SPIN” was a material exploration yielding several lamps.
