SEAT
“SEAT” highlights formwork construction, transforming construction materials into design elements. The texture of wooden formwork was captured by pressing and spreading plastic clay against it.
In the third semester of the ceramic design vocational class, formwork and related ceramic techniques were taught. The objective was to design a seating object produced with formwork and pressed plastic clay.
The seat was produced using a wooden formwork lined with plastic clay and subsequently unmolded. The wood grain served as texture for the “SEAT”.
