SMOKE BEAUTIFULLY
The “SMOKE BEAUTIFULLY” project builds on foundation studies in which Till Herion produced various ashtrays. This represents a continuation using alternative ceramic techniques. All pieces were exhibited in November 2024 at “Zum Goldenen Kamm”.
The work stems from an ongoing inquiry into the ashtray as an object and its spatial presence. “SMOKE BEAUTIFULLY” was born of personal initiative alongside vocational studies.
All ashtrays were constructed with clay slabs and assembled with slip. Till Herion used porcelain paperclay, leaving attachment points intentionally exposed. This playful search for form yielded numerous unique objects.
