Internship with Felix Mields
In the summers of 2025 and 2026, Till Herion completed multi-week internships with ceramicist Felix Mields in Blankenfelde, Pankow, Berlin. There he acquired diverse wheel-throwing techniques and gained firsthand experience in kiln building and wood firing.
In the vocational training as a certified ceramic designer (EFZ) at the Bern Ceramic Design School, an internship of at least three weeks is mandatory. Till Herion chose ceramicist Felix Mields to learn from his decades of expertise.
Initial contact was made in summer 2024 during a visit to Felix's artist studio. A year later, a five-week internship followed, and the second three-week internship took place in summer 2026.
