Spiced
The “Würzig” series was created in collaboration with graphic designer Renato Antonietti. The series paused at the prototype stage and was produced in two limited editions.
The jars were developed in the workshops of the foundation course in design at the Lucerne School of Design & Art.
The project arose from a mutual desire for beautifully crafted spice containers. The form was developed on the wheel, then cast in plaster molds. Porcelain casting slip was used, finished with transparent glaze. Typography was screen-printed onto transfer paper and fired in a third firing. The lids are made of acrylic glass with a metal knob and sealing ring.
